NBSC GAD Champions Advance Gender Goals with Renewed Purpose and Strategic Tools
The Northern Bukidnon State College Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS) continued its workshops to develop the institutional GAD Agenda, focusing on using the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF) and Harmonized GAD Guidelines (HGDG) tools for monitoring and evaluating GAD implementation. Held on May 28โ29, 2025, at the NBSC Student Welfare and Development Center, the training deepened participantsโ understanding of the GMEF framework in shaping GAD issues and goals.
This followed an earlier strategic planning and GAD agenda crafting workshop held on April 28โ29 in Manolo Fortich, attended by GFPS members and key officials, including the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, and the Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Helen E. Maasin.
GAD expert Dr. Rowena Antoinette Moonyeen S. Navera led both sessions, guiding the team in crafting project proposals aligned with GAD budget utilization. College President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, expressed full support by actively engaging in the discussions and sharing insights to strengthen the proposals.
The participants received unanimous praise from the two leaders as they presented the outputs.
โIโm already extending my congratulations (to the NBSC GFPS team), and I am also extending my congratulations to Maโam Jean because what happened from yesterday until today is just an affirmation of that statement of mine (cooperation among the members). Sabi ko nga kay Maโam Jean, Maโam napakaswerte mo, because your people are all good (โI said to Maโam Jean, Maโam, you are so fortunate, because your people are all good.โ),โ Dr. Navera shared.
During her closing message, Dr. Ganiera also expressed admiration for the group.
โI am so happy seeing you all so supportive, and I hope you wonโt change. As I always say, I canโt do these things alone. I need all of you in [the course of] navigating all these plans and programs we have,โ she said.
The SUC president also thanked the team for making the workshop productive.
The workshop marked another step forward in NBSCโs gender mainstreaming efforts. With strong leadership support and expert guidance, the GFPS team reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive, collaborative, and impactful GAD work.
